“I’l l walk wherever I want to,” Bear shouted as he showed off his size and strength.
Cricket shouted back, “But it’s my house, and I should protect it!”
This made Bear so angry that he said he would destro y the house, Cricket, and all of Cricket’s family. This made Cricket angry. “I have a friend who is only half my size, but he is strong enough to beat you in a fight.”
Bear laughed and said, “Go and get your friend, Cricket. I’ll return tomorrow, and we’ll see who can win in a fight.”
The next morning, Bear returned to Cricket’s house. “Come out, brave Cricket,” called Bear. Suddenly he felt a terrible ache on his back. He cried, but Cricket’s friend Mosquito (蚊子) continued stinging (叮) until Bear cried, “I give up!”
Just then Cricket appeared at the door of his house. Cricket told Bear to leave and never return. Bear quickly ran away.

One day I got into a taxi and we took off for the airport.
We were driving in the right way when suddenly a black jeep jumped out of a parking space right in front of us. My taxi driver had to stop the car at once, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car started shouting at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy, and I mean, he was really friendly.
So I asked, “Why did you just do that? This guy almost destroyed your car and sent us to the hospital!” This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, “The Law of the Garbage(垃圾) Truck.”
He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of anger. As their garbage gets more, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they’ll dump it on you. Don’t take it seriously. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don’t take their garbage and pass it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.
Life’s too short to wake up in the morning with regrets(后悔), so… “Love the people who treat you right. Pray(祈祷) for the ones who don’t.”
